Abstract
Virmont’s reports on the grand ambassador exchange at the border on 15 June;
briefly summarizes the flow of the ceremony and the words exchanged between the two parties;
continues his journey in the company of Abdullah Pasha, the commander of Nissa;
enters Nissa with an official parade, followed by a welcome reception;
at Nissa, Virmont camps outside the city walls, which he finds unpleasing;
the next day, he attends an official audience and presents Prince Eugene’s letter addressed to Abdullah Pasha;
Virmont receives a horse as a gift, while he and his entourage receive 25 caftans at the end of the audience;
journey continues on the 22nd
