Sāġomon(?), son of Malakoy(?), the bearer of the imperial sign of exalted fame, was assigned and appointed to work in the interpretership service of the aforesaid Roman emperor’s envoy who will reside in my threshold of felicity. The ambassador requested my favors to issue to him a renewed interpretership charter as it has been the practice in accordance with my imperial letter of agreement (ʿahdnāme-i ḥumāyūn).
