Description:Full length shot of a seated man wearing a military uniform and carrying a sword. He is holding an infant in a white urban dress on his lap. A woman in a light-coloured high-necked urban dress is standing behind him, leaning down towards the man and holding the baby's right hand.
Comment:Konstantin Kanchev (1865 - unknown) was one of the first Bulgarians to fly in a hot-air balloon with Eugene Godard at the First Bulgarian International Agricultural and Industrial Fair in Plovdiv in 1892. Lieutenant Kanchev commanded the unit engaged in servicing of the balloon. Kanchev became major in 1906 and colonel in 1920.
