Comment:Konstantin Kanchev (1865 - unknown) was one of the first Bulgarians to fly in a hot-air balloon with Eugene Godard at the First Bulgarian International Agricultural and Industrial Fair in Plovdiv in 1892. Lieutenant Kanchev commanded the unit engaged in servicing of the balloon. Kanchev became major in 1906 and colonel in 1920.
