Comment: | Atanas Enchev (1879 - 1948) went to high school in Russe and then studied Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering at the Imperial Institute in St. Petersburg, graduating in 1908. He became an employee at the Bulgarian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Labor and headmaster of the State High School of Mechanoelectric in Sofia (1910 - 1938). In 1911 he married Nevyanka Vasileva Todorova X After her graduation from the Royal Milan Conservatory of Music (Conservatorio di musica “Giuseppe Verdi” di Milano) and study stays in Paris and Vienna, their daughter Lyuba Encheva (1914 - 1989) became one of the most prominent Bulgarian pianists and music educators. She was a professor at the Bulgarian State Conservatory of Music (as of 1950) and guest professor at the Musashino Academia Musicae in Tokyo (1981 - 1982). |
