A wedding rite

Description:Full length outdoor shot in the farmyard of a rural house: in the foreground two women, a man and a child are standing; next to them on the left a man is playing the violin. On the right a man in rural clothes is holding a pistol in such a way as if he was firing. On the wooden stairs there are women standing, one of them is holding an infant in her arms, two are showing embroidered covers. A girl, resting her arms on a board parapet with clothes on and over it is looking down from the terrace on the second floor of the house.
Comment:The photograph was a gift to the National Ethnographic Museum from the Bulgarian Ethnographic Society (Balgarsko narodouchno druzhestvo).
