Comment: | On 1 December 1898 the Bulgarian capital municipality commissioned French and Belgian companies to build tram lines. Construction took place for a little more than a year, and the first tram line was inaugurated on 1 January 1901. The first depot (depicted in the photograph) was the "Klokotniza" depot. |
