| Comment: | Todor Nikolaev (Feodor Nikolaevic) Minkov (1830 - 1906), born in Ruse, than Ottoman Empire, was a teacher in Silistra until the Crimean War (1853 - 1856), during which he joined the Russian Army as a volunteer. After the War he settled in Nikolayev (Mykolaiv), Russian Empire, where he established the South-Slavic Boarding School and was an active participant in the life of Bulgarian emigration in the Russian Empire. |
