Object:Delegates to the Congress of Apiarists in Sofia
Description:Indoor portrait of a group of men in front of a drape with a label in Bulgarian reading "Apiarist's congress", seated and standing in four rows. Most of them are wearing suits, two are in an Orthodox priest garb, one is wearing rural clothes with a fur cap, and another is dressed in a light military uniform, holding a sword. In front of the first row of men, sitting on the ground, there are some wheat ears. Verso: attached article in Bulgarian from the newspaper "Otechestven front": "Is apiculture only a hobby?"
Comment:Among the photographed are Sava Datsov, Unterberg, and Prof. P. I. Behmetiev - Bulgarian teachers, organizers of the first "Apiarist's Congress" in Sofia on August 21, 1899.
