Object:The Hristo Zografski family
Description:Indoor group portrait of nine people: An elderly woman wearing a dark urban dress and a hat, and an elderly man in a suit adorned with insignias of honour are seated in the centre. A middle-aged woman in town dress, a girl leaning against her, and an infant are also seated around a cloth-covered table. Three girls and a boy are standing around the seated group. All of the girls are wearing town dresses adorned with necklaces with either cross pendants or medallions.
Comment:The family of Hristo Zahariev Zografski (1844 - 1917 [?]), son of the icon painter Zahari Zograf (1810 - 1853), founding member of the "Badastnost" /"Future" joint-stock wool company with a factory in Samokov (1885 - 1947), and Director of the textile factory (1885 - 1917). Mayor of Samokov (1909).
