| Description: | Full length shot of an elderly man with a long moustache, wearing dark folk attire with a belt, light-coloured leggings, and traditional peasant shoes (tsarvuli). He is also wearing a fur cap and has thrown a coat over his right shoulder. He is standing in front of a painted canvas backdrop, which creates the illusion of the scene being set in nature. He is holding a shepherd's staff in his left hand. |
| Comment: | Verso: hand-written inscription [probably by Konstantin Josef Jireček]: "fig. 13 / Philipopel." An identical photograph is kept at the Austrian Museum of Folk Life and Folk Art, Vienna.
