Object:Traditional costume with modern elements
Description:Portrait of a woman wearing a light-coloured blouse with embroidery, a short jacket (jelek) and a dark skirt. She is richly adorned with jewelry and wearing a headgear with coins. Sitting on a chair, she is holding a hand of cards, while the rest of the deck and a silver cup are to be found on a small table next to her.
Comment:Note the modern white shoes. The archive, from which this picture originates, dates it 1903 and notes that it displays an Orthodox dress. Positive print.
