Comment:Alexander von Kaulbars (1844 - 1925) was a Russian officer, who fought in the Russo-Ottoman War (1877 - 1879), and was promoted to major general in 1879. From 1878 - 1879 A. Kaulbars was a member of the Committee for the demarcation of the borders of the Kingdom of Serbia. In 1882 Kaulbars became Minister of War of the Principality of Bulgaria. Among the photographed are Captian Sokolnikov; Colonel Aleksandr Roediger (1853 - 1920), a Russian General and Deputy Minister of War of the Principalilty of Bulgaria; Lieutenant Konstantin Pavlovich von Renne; D-r Sava Mirkov (1850 - 1927), a Bulgarian military physician, Chief Physician of the Bulgarian Army (1882 - 1891), and member of the Bulgarian Literary Society (since 1911 called "Bulgarian Academy of Sciences"); Major Nikolay Reshetin; Major Krauze; Colonel Mironov.
