Comment: | Lazar Komarčić Komarica (1839, Glogol near Priboj – 1909, Belgrade) was a descendent of the Komarica family. His numerous zadruga consisted of three brothers and their ten sons. His parents emigrated to Serbia, where Lazar did an apprenticeship and became a writer and journalist in approximately 1870. Among others, he wrote for "Srbija" (Serbia) and "Budućnost" (Future), two politic journals of liberal and progressive thought. "Jedna ugašena zvezda" (An extinguished star, 1902) is considered one of the first of Serbian science fiction novels. |
