Description:Full-length shot of three men wearing formal suits and top hats. One of them is sitting on a padded arm chair. Next to him another man in half sitting and half leaning against a table, while the third man is standing behind them. A painted canvas backdrop is creating the impression of the scene being set in a drawing room.
Comment:Both Milorad Gavrilović (1861–1931) and Milorad Petrović (1865, Šabac – 1928, Skopje) were stage actors at the Royal Serbian National Theatre in Belgrade. The former was also the manager of the theater and became known as "The Old Gentleman", while the latter played the leading role in the first Serbian silent film, "Life and Deeds of Immortal Vožd Karađorđe", in 1911. Janko Veselinović (1862, Salaš Crnobarski – 1905, Glogovac) was a writer who dedicated himself to writing novels and short stories about life in the latter half of the 19th century. He also worked as associate editor and as editor for the "Srpske Novine" and "Zvezda" newspapers. He wrote plays for the Royal Serbian National Theatre in Belgrade, where he also worked as a dramatic adviser.
