Description:Half-length shot of two women. One of them is sitting on a ćilim (woven tapestry-style rug), which has been placed on a parapet. The other one is standing behind her. Both of them are wearing tailor-made ensembles and hats.
Comment:Julka Jovanović, née Stepić (1846–1939), was an actress at the Royal Serbian National Theatre in Belgrade. She was married to Toša Jovanović (VASE.01348), one of the greatest Serbian theatre talents of the 19th century. Her father, Paja Stepić, worked as a theatre prompter.
