Comment: | "Hajduk Veljko" is a play by Jovan Dragašević which is based on the historical figure of Hajduk Veljko, one of the voivodes (military commanders) of the Serbian Revolutionary forces in the First Serbian Uprising against the Ottoman Empire (1804–1813). Milorad Petrović (1865, Šabac – 1928, Skopje) was a Serbian actor who worked at the Royal Serbian National Theatre in Belgrade and played the leading role in the first Serbian silent film, "Life and Deeds of Immortal Vožd Karađorđe", in 1911. |
