| Comment: | Knez (Ivo) od Semberije (Duke Ivo from Semberija) is the main character of the eponymous tragic opera by Branislav Nušić. It was first performed at the National Theatre in Belgrade in 1911. Nušić's play is based on a true story about Ivan Knežević, who was a Serbian revolutionary and obor-knez of the Bijelina nāḥiyah around 1806. Raja Pavlović (1861–1933) was a popular actor and talented singer at the Royal Serbian National Theatre in Belgrade. |
