Description:Upper-body shot of a young woman in three-quarter profile. She is dressed in an evening gown and wearing her long hair loose.
Comment:Desanka Đorđević (1879–1946) was a Serbian prima donna who played the part of 'Stana' in the first Serbian opera, 'Na Uranku' (At Dawn), composed by Stanislav S. Binički and first performed at the Royal Serbian National Theatre in Belgrade in 1903. The photograph was a gift to one of her critics.
