| Description: | Full-length group portrait of a wedding party. The bride and groom are seated, wearing a wedding dress and a Captain's uniform, respectively. The 'dever' (bridegroom's relative) and three other men are standing behind the couple, also dressed in Captains' uniforms adorned with insignia of honor and rank as well as with sprigs of rosemary. The 'dever' is wearing a wedding towel over his right shoulder. A painted canvas backdrop is creating the impression of the scene being set in a park. |
| Comment: | Ana Jurišić, née Jovanović (1888, Kragujevac – 1956, Belgrade), was Mihailo P. Jovanović's daughter. Mihailo was an attorney and served as Minister of Justice (1903–1905) and as Head of the Court of Cassation (as of 1908). In 1908 Ana married Captain Pantelija Ž. Jurišić (1881, Mačva – 1960, Belgrade), who later became General of the Royal Army.
