| Comment: | Zora Horstig, née Pavlović, was the daughter of Mihajlo Pavlović, who was the owner of one of the greatest textile factories of his time in Belgrade and also Governor of the National Bank. Her contemporaries used to call her 'Pretty Ms. Horstig'. She married Kosta Horstig, who was an artillery officer and descendant of an old Prussian family. Kosta's father Paul von Horstig (Pavle Horstig) moved to Serbia after the Franco-Prussian War, where he became representative of Krupp and allegedly also one of the founders of freemasonry in Serbia. Kosta and Zora had two daughters, one of them named Olga. |
