| Comment: | Natalija Obrenović, née Keşco (1859, Florence – 1941), Princess Consort of the Principality of Serbia from 1875 until 1882 and the Queen Consort of the Kingdom of Serbia from 1882 until 1889. She was the daughter of Russian Colonel Piotrj Ivanovich Keşco and of Princess Pulcheria Sturdza of Moldavia. She was married to Prince Milan Obrenović IV of Serbia and had two sons with him, the future King Aleksandar and his younger brother Sergei (Sergije), who died just a few days after his birth in 1878. Photograph kept in photo album no. 22369, which belonged to the Zorić family. Svetozar Zorić (1853, Titel – 1931, Belgrade) studied mechanical engineering and worked in Western Europe before returning to Serbia, where he became an Honorary Professor at the Technical University of Belgrade after working for the national railway company. He was very much interested in painting and encouraged his niece Nadežda Petrović and his daughter Milica Zorić in their artistic ambitions. Both became very famous artists. |
