Comment: | Stojan G. Simić (1871–1909) was the son of the Serbian politician and diplomat Đorđe S. Simić (1843–1921) and of his second wife Julka Pržić (died in 1872). She was the daughter of Ilija Pržić and a relative of Captain Miša Anastasijević, the second richest man in Serbia in the 19th century. Đorđe S. Simić studied government sciences in Berlin, Heidelberg and Paris and held many high positions in the state. He was, e.g., twice Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Serbia (1894, 1896–1897). He was also one of the founders and the president of the Serbian Red Cross for many years. Stojan G. Simić was married to the Russian opera singer Sofija (Sonja) Sedmakova, with whom he had a daughter, Ružica Simić, born in 1910. She grew up in Italy and had two daughters of her own. | Relations: | /o:vase.1238 |
