Description: | Full-length shot of a little girl dressed in folk attire. She is wearing a white embroidered shirt under a 'jelek' (short vest) and a ''pregača'' (traditional embroidered apron with a geometric pattern). A little woven basket has been placed in front of her. The props in the studio are creating the impression of the scene being set outdoors.. |

Comment: | Sojka is probably short for Sofija. She is probably a granddaughter of Ilija Garašanin's, who is remembered for having been the first Serbian politician who had a genuine political program, designed to prevent Austrian and Russian influence in Serbia and in the remaining Slav populated parts of the Ottoman Empire. He wrote the Načertanije, a political document which stated the goals of liberating the South Slavs and unifying Serbian territories. His aim was to place Serbia in the ranks of other European states. |
