Object:Group picture of the Jovanović family
Description:Outdoor photograph of a group of five people. An elderly woman is holding a boy in shorts and T-shirt by his arm. Next to them, a man has lifted up a girl, while a woman with short hair, wearing a floral dress, is approaching in the background. They have been photographed in a garden in front of a wall overgrown with ivy. All of them are smiling.
Comment:The people in the picture are: Darinka Jovanović, née Hadži Kostić, wife of Milan Jovanović; their grandson Milan; their son Dušan; their granddaughter Soja and Dušan's wife. Milan Jovanović (1863, Vršac – 1944, Belgrade) was one of the most influential photographers of his generation and worked as a court photographer in his studio in Belgrade.
