Comment: | In 1919 Zorka Vlajić, née Milojković, became president of the Maternity Association, founded in 1904. The boy in the picture is probably her son, Božidar Vlajić. Božidar Vlajić (1888–1974) became a famous politician (member of the Yugoslav Democratic Party) in interwar Yugoslavia. After WWII he remained in Great Britain as an emigrant (the Communist Party, which came into power, banned the Democratic Party; its members were persecuted). He was one of the founders of the "Democratic Alternative". |
