Description:Full-length shot of a woman in town attire, wearing a wide floor-length dress, a corset and a fur-trimmed 'anterija' (vest). She is holding a handkerchief in her left hand and is resting her right elbow on a wooden armchair.
Comment:Katarina Hadži Popović, née Jovanović († 1894), sister of the photographer Anastas Jovanović and of Mihailo Jovanović. She was married to Nikola Hadži Popović, a high Serbian official. Photograph kept in Anastas Jovanović's album. The hand-written inscription on the back states that the photograph was taken on October 24, 1862 in Belgrade by Anastas Jovanović.
