Object:Panorama of Baščaršija
Description:Panorama of Baščaršija and Sarajevo’s old town. In the centre of the wide-format picture, a poplar tree flanks Baščaršija Mosque. To its left, the cupolas of Brusa bezistan are seen and behind them, the large low cupola of the Ashkenaz synagogue and the tower of Saborna crkva. To the right of Baščaršija Mosque is the large complex of the Gazi Husrev-beg Foundation (Gazi Husrev-begov vakuf), with Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and a tiny part of Sahat kula (clock tower) and the college building (Gazi Husrev-begova medresa) visible. Behind it are the towers of the catholic cathedral (Katedrala Srca Isusa).
Comment:Analogue photographic process, negative-positive (Agfa Isopan 17 DIN). Original preserved as a negative, stored as a negative and a digital record.
