Description:Upper body shot of an older Orthodox man in Baščaršija. He is wearing a black cap made from dark lambskin, a tattered white shirt and over it a džamadan and jelek modestly adorned with gajtans. He poses in the lower left corner of the frame, smiling gently into the camera, and holding a bag unter his arm with a white cylindrical object and a sachet in his hands in front of him, as if to roll himself a cigarette. Behind him is a view of a bazaar street and the Baščaršija Mosque.
Comment:The man is a peasant from the surroundings of Sarajevo. Analogue photographic process, negative-positive (Agfa Isopan 17 DIN). Original preserved as a positive on silver bromine paper, stored as a print and a digital record.
