Object:Lumberjacks in a winter landscape
Description:Six men and a boy pose in front of a woodcutters' yard on a snowy day. Five of the men are dressed in peasant clothing, with hoods on their heads and opanci on their feet. The man in the centre wears a flat cap and shoes, though he is presenting his saw just like the others. The man on the left is holding up an axe as if to chop off his neighbour's head, laughing. The others are laughing or smiling, too. The boy on the far right is dressed in city clothes. In the background, an older man in a hat, coat and with a grey moustache is waiting and smiling.
Comment:Testeraši' were day labourers who came to work in the towns during the autumn and winter period. The boy probably belongs to the older man waiting in the background.
