Object:Enjoying the spring sun in Kalemegdan
Description:Men and women in winter coats are sitting in the sun on benches in Kalemegdan. The picture is taken from a distance – the people are paying no attention to the photographer. On the nearest bench, a woman and a man are sitting on opposite ends, as though they do not know each other. On a second bench, two ladies in fur coats are occupied with two toddlers and their pushchairs.
Comment:The photograph appeared in the newspaper Vreme in its 'Belgrade Chronicle' section. The accompanying title informed readers that Belgrade citizens were enjoying the first rays of sun in early spring.
