French seamen in front of Hotel Imperijal

Description:A large group of men pose in front of Hotel Imperijal on a wet winter day. They are wearing simple suits and flat caps, and some of them coats. The man in the centre has his right arm bandaged. A corpulent figure standing at a slightly higher position by the hotel entrance is more elegantly dressed and has a moustache.
Comment:The men belong to the surviving crew of the French ship 'Jacques Frèse', which was lost in the Black Sea. The photograph was published in the newspaper Vreme on 25 Feburary 1929 in its 'Belgrade Chronicle' section, two days after the men's visit to Belgrade.
