Object:Branislav Nušić feeding poultry
Description:Profile view of Branislav Nušić standing in a fenced yard feeding turkeys at his home in Brankova Street. He is dressed in a neat suit, tie and clean shoes, only his striped jacket looks like it is used only at home or for this purpose. A line of clean laundry is hanging directly behind him, spanning the picture. Beyond, in the centre of the fenced area (and of the picture), is a white, round stone well or bench. In the background, the face of an older woman working in the garden can be glimpsed through the drying laundry.
Comment:This photograph appeared in the newspaper Vreme illustrating a report about the six turkeys Branislav Nušić began to keep after his retirement. It says that the famous playwright had made feeding his poultry a daily ritual. – The original glass plate is partially damaged.
