| Description: | Portrait of a ten- to twelve-year-old child lying in a hospital bed. Only its shaved head and right hand on the sheet are visible, the rest of the body is covered by sheets and blankets. Two large cushions enable the child to look into the camera. The bed is situated under a window, in front of a radiator. A paper or magazine is spread across the bedside table on the right margin. |
