Object:Unveiling of the 'Victor' monument in Kalemegdan
Description:View of Kalemegdan on the occasion of the unveiling of the Pobednik statue. The photograph shows the column from a distance surrounded by scaffolding and towering over the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. To its right, there is an imposing building in the style of an Ottoman konak. A large crowd of people is scattered across the various levels of the fortress, now a public park.
Comment:The photograph was taken on the occasion of the official opening of the park’s stone stairway and the unveiling of the Pobednik statue in 1928.
