Comment: | The photograph was taken in the context of an article printed in Cumhuriyet with the title, ‘First Turkish ship made on special initiative’. The ship was financed by the lawyer Etemin Belkis and was hailed by the newspaper as the first boat of its kind constructed on Turkish initiative. |
