Object:Dancing in Çırçır Suyu Park
Description:Eleven middle-aged men and women are dancing in Çırçır Suyu park. There are four couples. On the photograph's right margin, three women are grouped together. The men are dressed in white shirts and ties and cotton trousers. The women are wearing afternoon dresses. Except for the woman on the very left, who is looking back over her shoulder, everyone is facing the camera. In the lower left corner stand a wooden table and wooden chair. In the background, a stone wall separates the scene from the terraced upper level of the restaurant where there are trees and more tables and chairs.
Comment:The Çırçır Suyu Park is a local recreation area in the northern district of Sarıyer. The park became popular in the course of Atatürk's visit to Istanbul in 1927 during which he also stopped at the park.
