Object:Ramadan drummer at a house entrance
Description:A Ramadan drummer beats his davul in a cobbled lane in front of a house door, looking into the camera. Two boys peep over his large drum. To his right, two men wearing long dark coats, leather boots and official hats, are standing at a door. A third boy standing between them is placing something onto a little plate that one of them is holding. The other smiles into the camera.
Comment:Photographs of Ramadan musicians were often printed on the first day of Ramadan celebrations.
