Scouts parading in Bahçekapı
| Description: | A scout parade in the neighbourhood of Bahçekapı, Fatih. The parade is headed by a boy and a girl scout, each carrying a flag of the Turkish Republic in their right hands and wearing a sash with the motto ‘Ameli Hayat’ (practical life) across their chests. They are flanked by two girl scouts, each carrying a wooden baton of about 1.5 metres in length. More scouts carrying wind instruments and drums follow behind. Bystanders are watching the scene. |
