Object:A coffeehouse in Ankara
Description:Outdoor photograph of seven men in front of a kahvehane. Four middle-aged men sit on chairs arranged in a row along the sidewalk. Three of them are dressed in elegant suits, ties and polished shoes, two of them feature round glasses. The one in the middle wears also a coat and smokes a water pipe (nargile) placed in front of him. The fourth man is dressed in a west and a cap. He obviuosly belongs to the other three, younger man who stand at the entrance door, probably waiters. One among them wears a long white work coat, another a white apron and a white dish towel over his shoulder. In the background, several more stores and people in the street.
Comment:The three men wearing suits are probably professonals or state officials, the fourth man sitting is probably the owner of the coffeehouse. The photograph seems to be taken during the evening or night.
