CommentThe Deutsche Wacht, formerly known as the Cillier Zeitung, was a radical proponent of German nationalism in Lower Styria. The article on this page was a scathing attack on Czechs and Slovenes, their political collaboration, and Slovene clericalism. The article also contained references to Emperor Josef II as being German, to the Fatherland, and to Germany.
