"Vitomir na "Knežjem Kamnu"."
| Location | Maribor (Marburg) |
| Description | Photograph of men and women in idealized medieval dress standing around the Prince's Stone (Fürstenstein/Knežji kamen). |
| Comment | Reenactment of the inauguration of the dukes of Carinthia at the Prince's Stone (Fürstenstein/Knežji kamen) located near Karnburg. This reenactment took place in Maribor on April 19, 1914 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the enthronement of the Habsburg Duke Ernst the Iron, the last duke of Carinthia to be enthroned according to a Carantanian rite. Carantania was a Slavic principality that emerged in the seventh century. In Slovene nationalist discourse, it is seen as part of a glorious and distant past before the Slavs (and therefore the Slovenes) were conquered by Bavarian Germans. |
