"Pet črevljev merim […]"
| Location | Ptuj (Pettau) |
| Description | World War I postcard with three illustrations: a farmer tilling his field, a soldier saying good-bye to his homeland, and a public official writing at his desk. |
| Comment | The caption on the recto are a Slovene poem about the life of a soldier on his way to war and describes him as a young, brave, and strong man, he is best serving his homeland by becoming a soldier. The postcard was mailed to a soldier in a hospital, and the message is written in a combination of formal Slovene and dialect (e.g. se vidima instead of se vidiva). |
