- 1 -Decree to İbrāhīm, one of the Chief Gatekeepers of my exalted threshold, may his glory endure
By the will of God, the exalted, in accordance with the stipulations of the peace and concord that have been concluded between my eternal Sublime State and the emperor of Austria, and by virtue of my imperial letter of agreement (ʿahdnāme-i hümāyūn) that has been honorably issued, a deputy has been appointed from the side of the aforementioned Austrian emperor for the demarcation of the borders on each side.
You are the aforementioned! You have been appointed and commissioned from my Sublime State with the task of border demarcations, which is to be carried out jointly among four states.
Now then, God, the exalted, willing, you shall set out a day in advance toward the intended destination. And in accordance with the noble commands that have been issued and the contents of my imperial letter of agreement, together with the towns, considerations, and the knowledge of the people of the four provinces, you shall exert the utmost of your capacity and strength with complete loyalty and uprightness in the fulfillment and completion of the duty with which you have been charged. This decree has been written so that you refrain from any action or deed that may violate the conditions of peace and concord and the attainment of success.
