Decree to the viziers and provincial governors, military commanders, judges, tax collectors, harbormasters, aides-de-camp to the janissary commanders, janissary guards, provincial dignitaries, and functionaries situated along the route from felicitous capital to Jerusalem:

Graf Wolfgang (IV) zu Oettingen(-Wallerstein), laudable pride of the commanders of the community of the Messiah, who is a close confidant and chief advisor to the Roman emperor, has submitted a petition to my exalted gate and informed me of the planned pilgrimage to the Christian holy sites in Jerusalem by several Austrian nobles, including Alfred Hainil(?), Graf Antonius Hellebrand von Dietrichstein(?), Buthan Paul(?), Graf von Kufstein(?), and Baron Franz Carol von Gallet András(?), each accompanied by an attendant.

He requested my imperial edict so that when these nobles enter the jurisdiction of any one of you, you are to provide them with suitable accommodation and necessary provisions at the market price, paid by themselves. When they are traveling, should they pass through any dangerous areas, ensure that adequate guards are assigned to accompany them. During the journey, at each stop and stages of travel, ensure that neither the nobles, their four attendants, nor their belongings and animals are subjected to any form of interference or extortion under the pretext of jizya demand, levies, or any other pretense and money demand by [? ], toll officers, or others. Each of you must ensure their safe and secure passage from one jurisdiction to the next, adhering strictly to this command and taking all necessary precautions. This edict is issued so that you will act with as described. So is the decree.
