Dear Sir,
My friend MrGeorges Lacombe of Paris suggests my sending you a copy of a catalogue I drew up in France of the publications of Prince Louis-Lucien Bonaparte which his widow gave me after I had sold for her the Prince’s library1. This sale was effected on the “Attempt at a Catalogue” I made of the said library for that purpose. You may possibly remember having noticed that “attempt” very briefly and very justly for its many gross errors.2 But it served the purpose for which it was intended & enabled the Princess to live in comfort to her death while at the same time saving intact her husband’s magnificent collection.
