Era molto tempo che non avevo il bene di sue lettere; quando, giorni addietro, il prof. Alfr. Trombetti1 mi scrisse di lei, e per un dettaglio che Lei desiderava da me. Così è che venga a darglielo direttamente dopo di averlo dato indirettamente al prof. Trombetti. – Il discorso o la memoria di Pliny Earle Chase (letta addì 18 Sett 1863) è pubblicata nel vol. B. zwischen indogermanischen Sprachen auf der einen, und Mandarin auf der anderen Seite.
