Comment:Together with his brother Milton (1882–1964), Janaki Manaki was among one of the pioneers of professional photography and film in the Balkans. While Janaki concentrated on photography, Milton focussed on ethnographic films. The brothers established a cinema in Bitola (Manastir) in 1921, which burnt down due to an accident in 1939.
