Object:Poster advertising the feature film ‘Kralj čarlstona’
Description:The double-framed poster announces the screening of the feature film ‘Kralj čarlstona’ (King of Charleston) in the ‘Kasina’ cinema – the premiere of ‘Belgrade’s first feature’ with a member of the Belgrade operetta, Ms. Odžić, in the leading role. In addition, the poster announces that the film ‘Ljubav kroz telefon’ (Love through the telephone) – originally ‘Das Fräulein vom Amt’ – about the passion of a switchboard girl starring Mary Johnson and André Mattoni, will also be screened.
Comment:‘Kralj čarlstona’ was directed by Yugoslav producer and director Kosta Novaković (1927). ‘Das Fräulein vom Amt’ (The switchboard operator) was directed by Hanns Schwarz.
