Object:Interior of the ‘Moderni bioskop’ cinema in Belgrade
Description:The photograph displays the interior of the cinema's wooden construction. The photograph is taken from the position of the screen. The cinema floor resembles a restaurant with tables with bottles placed on them and chairs. A waiter is seen serving on the bottom left. A gallery offers seating for a bigger audience. The cinema hall is equipped with electric light. All the people in the picture, as well as the man on the gallery, are looking towards the camera.
Comment:The photograph was taken in 1911. The cinema was founded in 1909 by the Savić brothers Boža (1862–1927), Pera (1868–1925) and Svetolik (1874–1944).
